General Visitation Hours
6 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Visitors in the room are limited to two visitors per patient.
Critical Care Unit (CCU)
8 a.m. until 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Open visitation is allowed for a patient’s immediate family and significant other. Visitors are limited to two per patient at any given time.
Mother-Baby Unit
10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. The support person may visit at any time. During labor and delivery in the BirthPlace, visitors are limited to one support person and one other person to provide relief for the support person. Other family members and friends may stay in an alternative waiting area.
Special Care Nursery
Parent(s) of the patient may visit 24 hours a day except during nursing shift report, physician rounds and special procedures in the unit. Grandparents may have unrestricted visitation if approved by the parents in writing. No siblings under the age of three may visit and from September until March no siblings under the age of 12 may visit.
Dining – Our cafeteria, The Wave Crest Café, is located on the lower level.
Breakfast 6:30 – 9:30 a.m.
Lunch 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Dinner 4:30-6:30 p.m.
Snacks, chips, desserts and drinks are available all day.
The Java City coffee shop is located in the Medical Mall, near patient registration. The shop sells a variety of coffee drinks, muffins and pastries.
Gift Shop – A gift shop located on the first floor of the Medical Mall offers cards, balloons, new baby gifts and items, and a variety of other gifts, jewelry and candy. The gift shop is open from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Flower Vending – Fresh flowers are available at a flower vending area near the Visitor's Entrance.
ATM – An ATM machine is located on the lower level, just outside the elevators to the Medical Mall and near the cafeteria.
Parking – All parking at Alamance Regional is free. If you are coming to visit a patient, you should park in the lot at the Visitor Entrance. If you are coming for an outpatient procedure or test, you should park in the Medical Mall parking area. There are separate parking areas for the Norville Breast Care Center (located near the Visitor Entrance), the Cancer Center (located at the back of the Medical Arts Building), and Rehabilitation.
Courtesy Car Service – A courtesy car is available to take patients from Medical Mall parking to the Medical Mall entrance. The car makes regular rounds.
Valet Parking – Valet parking is available for patients of the Cancer Center, Rehabilitation and the Congestive Heart Failure Clinic. The valet parking station is located at the Cancer Center entrance.
