Arthritis Support Group
The Alamance County Arthritis Support Group provides education and support and practical information for coping with arthritis for arthritis sufferers and their families.
When: Noon – 1:30 p.m. the second Monday of each month, March through December

Breast Cancer Support Group
Newly-diagnosed breast cancer patients, those currently undergoing treatment and long-term survivors are invited to attend. This group includes light snacks, special speakers, encouragement, support and friendship.
When: First Tuesday of each month 7-8 p.m.

Cancer Family Support Group
A support group for friends and family of cancer patients is offered the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Grand Oaks Center on the Alamance Regional Campus. This group is coordinated by the Wings to Recovery Program at the Alamance Regional Cancer Center and is open to anyone who serves as a support person for a cancer patient. Family Caregivers Support Group
When: Second Tuesday of each month at 1 p.m.

Kids Can!
KidsCan! is a program for children ages 6-18 who have a family member with cancer. Children, teens and parents meet in separate groups to share questions and engage in fun activities. All children are welcome regardless of where their family member is receiving treatment.
When: The second Thursday of each month from 6 – 8 p.m.

Stroke Support Group
The Alamance County Stroke Club provides support and education to stroke survivors and their families.
When: The fourth Tuesday of each month from noon until 1:30 p.m., March through December.

Wings to Recovery – Newly-diagnosed cancer patients are able to meet with a cancer survivor to ask questions and talk about fears and concerns. Volunteer mentors are specially trained offer emotional support. For more information or to refer a patient to Wings to Recovery, contact Rosa Davis, RN, at 336-586-3737.
WomenHeart - Women dealing with Heart Disease are able to meet with other women and a trained facilitator who is also a heart attack survivor to talk about concerns and offer emotional support.
When: The first Thursday evening of each month from 6pm-7pm (except October) at the Grand Oaks Center, large meeting room.
