Alamance Regional Outpatient Clinics

Adults who require multiple or specialized therapies receive physical, occupational and speech-language therapy at the Alamance Regional outpatient clinic on the lower level of the Alamance Regional campus.

These services include:

Occupational Therapy – Our occupational therapists help patients gain the skills they need for the activities of daily living. Our treatment area includes a fully equipped kitchen. We also have a therapist with special training in the needs of low vision patients.

Physical Therapy – Our physical therapists provide treatment for orthopedic patients, as well as those with neurological disorders, such as stroke, Parkinson’s or multiple sclerosis. Our team also specializes in wound care.

Speech-Language Pathology – Our speech language pathologists treat aphasia, swallowing and voice disorders. They provide videofluoroscopic swallowing studies, vital stimulation therapy and deep pharyngeal neuromuscular stimulation.

Oncology Rehabilitation – The Oncology Rehabilitation program provides an interdisciplinary approach to meeting the individual needs of cancer patients and caregivers. After diagnosis, during treatment and in recovery, patients receive care from therapists and professionals who specialize in lymphedema, exercise, stress management, nutrition, massage therapy and activities of daily living.

Women’s Rehabilitation Services – Women in all stages of life can face medical conditions that interfere with daily activities – conditions such as incontinence, pelvic pain, osteoporosis, pre-natal and post-natal pain. We utilize biofeedback, exercise, relaxation techniques, pain management, and other therapies to help women manage these health problems and regain the confidence they need for an active life. Each patient receives private therapy sessions designed to meet her individual needs.
