Accreditations

The Joint Commission – Alamance Regional Medical Center is fully accredited for all services by The Joint Commission. Accreditation by The Joint Commission is a voluntary process that requires healthcare organizations to meet or exceed 700 standards for healthcare quality and safety. As an accredited hospital, Alamance Regional continually submits data and reports that relate to patient care and safety, and our hospital undergoes an unannounced, on-site evaluation every three years to validate the information submitted.

The American College of Surgeons – Our cancer center has been awarded approval with commendation by the American College of Surgeons as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Center. This approval is a voluntary process that insures our cancer programs meet or exceed 36 different standards of care.

College of American Pathologists – The laboratories at Alamance Regional and the Mebane Outpatient Center are both accredited by the College of American Pathologists. In addition, the Alamance Regional blood bank is accredited by the Food and Drug Administration.
