Mothers who may have high risk pregnancies may be referred to a special Perinatal Clinic located on the campus of Alamance Regional. Twice a week, physicians from Duke Perinatal Consultants of Burlington offer special diagnostic care and testing. These physicians are members of the Duke University Medical Center staff and board-certified perinatologists. The perinatologist works closely with your obstetrician to coordinate care if your pregnancy has been identified as high-risk. The clinic also offers genetic screening and care for women who have experienced recurrent pregnancy losses.
