Alamance Regional Medical Center holds its 7th annual Legs for Life Wellness 5K oN Saturday Oct. 12. All age groups are welcome to take part in the race/walk that begins at 9 a.m. Proceeds support community wellness and prevention programs that combat childhood obesity.
The race/walk features a new USA Track & Field–certified, 5 kilometer (3.1 mile) course that will guide participants through Alamance Regional’s campus.
Fun activities are open to all, including Hot Legs ’13, where participants can paint their legs in crazy designs to win prizes. A $100 Omega Sports gift card will be awarded to the top leg design and cash prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female race winners. Painters Roost will hold a T-shirt tie-dye station after the race
Registration begins at 7:45 a.m. and is $25. Children under 12 years of age can participate for free. T-shirts will be given to the first 150 registered participants.
