Katie Wright Boon has been named the director of the Alamance Regional Medical Center Charitable Foundation. The foundation, which was established in 1999, raises funds to assist patients in need and to support programs that improve the health of the community.
Boon previously served as Director of Resource Development for United Way of Alamance County. She has extensive experience in fundraising.
“We are excited to welcome Katie Boon and are confident her leadership and fundraising skills will build on our strong history of charitable giving to patients,” says John Beshel, president of the board of directors, Alamance Regional Charitable Foundation.
“I look forward to working with our board and many donors,” says Boon. “Gifts to the foundation touch so many people in our community – from children with asthma to patients facing cancer and seniors struggling to purchase medications. It is a privilege to be able to build relationships within the community in support of these causes.”
