AlaMAP Monthly Update AlaMAP has served over 1,500 patients since Sept. 2001. The graphs below document our work. While the number of patients served has steadily increased, the amount of time our patients spend waiting for vital medications has dramatically decreased. The average wholesale price of the medication we have dispensed now exceeds $6,700,000.

NEW INFORMATION CLASS: On the 2nd Thursday of the month AlaMAP now offers a session updating anyone interested about new changes in Medicare D. Included in this class is information about new assistance through the pharmaceutical manufacturers for patients in the "doughnut hole". Call 538-8440 for a reservation. Class size is limited.
AlaMAP Medication Therapy Management Services (MTMS) Coming very soon AlaMAP will be able to provide MTMS to anyone in the community. It will be especially beneficial for anyone, especially over age 65, on several medicines, anyone with questions about their medicines, anyone with concerns they may be experiencing side effects, anyone with questions about why they are taking their medicines.
MTMS is a thorough evaluation of your medicines with a clinical pharmacist who is a specialist in geriatrics. At these visits, current use of prescribed, over-the-counter, supplement, herbal, and other medications is assessed. Any areas of concern, options for regimen simplification, dose issues, issues about how you respond to your medicine, or opportunities to use more cost-effective options, opportunities to change to more evidence-based therapies, and other pertinent information is sent to your prescriber(s). Patients are educated on all aspects of and most appropriate use of their medications.
