At Alamance Regional, we’re dedicated to helping employers obtain high quality, cost-effective health care for their employees. Our Employer Services Department can help improve employee wellness and lower overall health costs for companies.

Alamance Regional’s occupational health nurses provide on-site health and wellness services or offer individual services as needed.

Studies have shown an on-site nurse reduces absenteeism, lessens the amount of time and money spent on doctors’ visits, and decreases medical and workers’ compensation claims and expenses. On-site nurses can also help companies meet OSHA standards.

Occupational Health Services include:

  • Audiometric testing
  • Case management for injured and ill employees
  • Cholesterol, blood pressure and blood sugar screenings
  • Drug screens (pre-employment, for cause and DOT) and breath alcohol testing
  • EKG’s
  • Flu, tetanus and hepatitis and travel vaccines
  • Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs)
  • Health and wellness education
  • On-site nurses
  • On-site treatment of minor illnesses and injuries, and referrals to appropriate physician when needed
  • Physicals (Pre-employment and DOT)
  • Pulmonary function testing
  • Respiratory clearance exams
  • Training (CPR, first aid, blood borne pathogens and injury prevention)

 

Alamance Regional’s medical professionals offer a range of on-site wellness programs that can be tailored to a company’s individual needs and schedule. Some of these programs include:

Corporate Mammography Program – This service provides limousine service to and from mammography appointments for a minimum of 24 participants. All paperwork including insurance information and collection of co-pay is completed prior to appointments, reducing the time away from work. Several billing options are available.

Disease Management – Exercise and nutrition counseling can be provided for employees with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or other health related conditions

Forever Fit –Employee program to identify personal health risks and modify lifestyle to become healthier

Health Fairs – May include health screenings, health information and education

Health Risk Assessment (HRA) – A paper survey that helps employees identify unhealthy areas of his or her life that may need improvement

Lunch ‘n Learns – Educational classes on a variety of health and wellness topics

Massage Therapy- Gift certificates are available for 15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes appointments. Many employers use these certificates as employee incentives or a personal treat.

Medical Nutrition Classes –Nutritional classes for employees to improve health, wellness and understanding of personal nutritional needs

Step It Up A Notch – A pedometer walking program to encourage increased activity throughout the day
