Alamance Regional Medical Center offers an employee assistance counseling program (EACP) that provides confidential, professional counseling for both personal and work-related problems. The EACP currently serves ARMC and twenty other community companies. The program helps with problems ranging from alcohol and drug abuse to job conflicts, marital problems, depression, grief, and stress.
In the workplace, any of these problems can cause repeated absenteeism, missed deadlines, interference with job performance and increased accidents. In fact, research shows that 75 percent of employees who are disciplined at work have a personal or family problem that is affecting job performance. If the problem is severe, that employee can also affect the safety, security, morale, and productivity of co-workers.
Our licensed therapists have extensive training and experience and hold master’s or doctor’s degrees. In addition to psychotherapy and counseling for individuals, couples and families, our EACP program also conducts workshops, management consultations and critical incident stress debriefing.
