Pediatric Services

Pediatric Rehab

Alamance Regional offers a range of services devoted to meeting the unique healthcare and developmental needs of children. We seek to provide a comforting, familiar environment for children and their families, while also providing our youngest patients the latest treatment options and the best possible care in their community.

Alamance Regional supports area pediatricians by providing lab services, leading edge imaging services and more. We also provide the following pediatric medicine services and facilities.

  • Pediatric Inpatient Unit: An aquarium, brightly decorated walls, toys and videos all help make children feel at home on our pediatric inpatient unit. Should your child be hospitalized, you’ll be able to spend the night right there in one of our special sleep chairs. Our staff has the training and expertise needed to meet the unique needs of children and their families.
  • Pediatric Asthma Center: The Pediatric Asthma Center is a nationally recognized program that is a joint venture of Alamance Regional and The Healthy Alamance Child Asthma Coalition. Families of children with asthma learn how to prevent and control asthma attacks, resulting in fewer visits to the Emergency Department and reduced school absences due to asthma. For more information, call (336) 538-7036.
  • Pediatric Rehabilitation Center: Alamance Regional’s Pediatric Rehabilitation Center, located on South Church Street in Burlington, provides physical, occupational, and speech and language therapy for infants, children and adolescents. Our staff is specially trained to meet the unique needs of developing children. Free speech, language and hearing screenings are available for children ages 2-6. For more information about pediatric rehabilitation services, call (336) 278-8700.
  • Pediatric Heart Clinics: Area pediatric heart patients are able to receive follow-up care and testing at two pediatric heart clinics located on the Alamance Regional campus. Pediatric cardiologists from both Duke University Medical Center and University of North Carolina Medical Center see patients locally.  Fetal consultations and testing from Duke physicians are also available.
