Volunteer and Donation Opportunities

You can help.

Community members have an opportunity to assist cancer patients and their families through a number of volunteer and donation opportunities. Several different funds designed to help cancer patients in need are administered through the Alamance Regional Charitable Foundation. These funds assist with diagnostic procedures, medications, transportation, wigs and prosthesis, the KidsCan support group, as well as basic living expenses. For more information about donating to the foundation, call (336) 538-7945.

Volunteers help check patients in for radiation treatment, assist patients who need to go to other areas of the hospital for tests or treatment, transport lab tubes and serve in the American Cancer Society Resource Center. Volunteers also assist patients at MedCenter Mebane. For more information about volunteer opportunities, contact Volunteer Services at (336) 538-7545.
