Can you help me find a physician?
How do I pay my bill?
You may use our online bill pay system, mail your payment in the envelope provided with your bill, or deliver your payment to the cashier’s desk on the second floor of the Grand Oaks Center on the Alamance Regional campus. If you have questions about your bill please call Financial Services at (336) 538-8400.
Do you offer charity care or financial assistance for patients who are unable to pay their bill?
Yes. Alamance Regional Medical Center offers care for everyone regardless of ability to pay. To be considered for financial assistance, patients must contact Patient Financial Services at (336) 538-8400. When considering financial assistance, we will review the patient’s financial status and account balance to decide if the patient is eligible for a discount or charity care. Financial assistance is available for both uninsured and underinsured patients.
What are the visiting hours?
- General visiting hours are 6 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.
- Critical Care Unit visiting hours are 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. - 6 a.m.
- Mother-Baby Unit visiting hours are 10:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. The support person may visit at any time.
- Behavioral Medicine visiting hours are 6 pm. – 8:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, and 4 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. on weekends.

Where do I park?
Signs on our campus will direct you to the correct parking area. If you are coming to visit a patient, you should park in the lot at the visitor’s entrance. If you are coming for an outpatient procedure or test, you should park in the Medical Mall parking area.
Valet parking is available for patients of the Cancer Center, Rehabilitation and the Congestive Heart Failure Clinic. The valet service is located at the Cancer Center entrance at the back of the Medical Arts Building.
What should I bring with me to the hospital?
When you come to Alamance Regional, please bring the following items:
- Identification (such as a driver’s license or social security card)
- Your health insurance card or information
- Any order sheets you may have received from your doctor
- Emergency contact information
- Your current medications in their labeled bottles
- Any advance directive or healthcare power of attorney information you may have.
Patients should not bring jewelry, large amounts of cash, or other valuables.
Where do I check in?
All patients, except mothers coming to the BirthPlace, should report to the admitting and registration area located in the Medical Mall. Patients who have pre-registered should still report to admitting and registration the day of their test or procedure.
BirthPlace patients who have pre-registered should park in visitor's parking and take the elevator to the third floor. BirthPlace patients who have not pre-registered should use the Emergency Department entrance.
How do I call a patient room?
From outside the hospital, dial 538-7 followed by the room number. From within the hospital, dial 7 followed by the room number.
How do I find out about my test results?
Results of outpatient tests such as imaging studies, stress tests or laboratory work will be reported to the physician who ordered the test. Your doctor’s office should contact you with the test results. Inpatient test results will be given to you by the physician who is providing your inpatient care.
Who do I call if I have a question after I go home?
If you have questions about your care at home, please call the nurse’s station. The number for the nurse’s station is included on your discharge papers.
