Board of Directors
As a nonprofit organization, the Alamance Regional Charitable Foundation is governed by a board of directors. Board members represent a range of different organizations and perspectives from across the community.
Dr. John Beshel
Dr. Beshel is a chiropractor and owner of Beshel Chiropractic Center in Burlington. In addition to his service on the foundation board, he is also involved with the United Way of Alamance County and Knights of Columbus. He is a graduate of Western Illinois University and Palmer University and lives with his children in Elon.
Carrie A. Brice
Carrie Brice is a physical therapist by training. She directs Alamance Regional’s Rehabilitation Services and also teaches physical therapy at Elon University as an adjunct faculty member. She lives in Chapel Hill with her family.
Jerry Bailey is market president and business banking manager for Wells Fargo. In addition to the foundation board, he has also been heavily involved in the Alamance Area Chamber of Commerce, United Way of Alamance County, Alamance Community College, Alamance Community College Foundation, YMCA and New Leaf Society. He is a graduate of East Carolina University and lives in Burlington with his family.
Mike Byrd has lived in Alamance County for more than 50 years. He is retired, but in addition to service to the foundation also serves as a board member and treasure of the Missionary Air Group. He lives in Burlington.
Montgomery Davis is district manager for Duke Energy. He is involved in a number of organizations in the region, including the Greensboro Rotary Club, UNCG Board of Visitors, Guilford Merchants Association, Greensboro Partnership and Rockingham County Partnership for Economic Development. He is a graduate of Greensboro College. He lives in Elon with his family.
Dr. Timothy Finnegan
Dr. Finnegan is an oncologist who practices at the Alamance Regional Cancer Center. He is a graduate of Penn State University, Hahnemann University and the MCP-Hahnemann School of Medicine. He lives in Orange County with his family.
Beth Godwin is a clinical systems manager at Alamance Regional and a native of North Carolina. She is a graduate of the East Carolina University School of Nursing and has lived in Alamance County off and on since 1987. She lives in Burlington with her family.
Rebecca Parks is unit manager at Vocational Rehabilitation Services in Burlington. She also serves on the board of the United Way of Alamance County, the N.C. Therapeutic Riding Center and other organizations. She has a bachelor’s degree from Elon University and a master’s from Auburn University. She lives in Snow Camp with her family.
Nikki Ratliff is program services director at the Burlington Housing Authority. In addition to the foundation, she also serves other community organizations, including the Burlington Junior Women’s Club, Alamance County Guardian Ad Litem program, Family Center in Alamance, Habitat for Humanity, the North Carolina General Federation of Women’s Clubs, the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Ratliff is a lifelong resident of Alamance County and lives in Graham with her family.
Cheryl Ray is human resources manager at Sports Endeavors Inc. in Hillsborough. The North Carolina native is deeply involved in the community. In addition to the foundation board, she also serves on the boards of, or holds positions with, the Alamance County Human Resources Association, Mebane Business Association, N.C. Society for Human Resource Management, Alamance County Children’s Museum, Alamance County Area Chamber of Commerce, Orange County/Hillsborough Relay for Life and Mebane Women’s Club. Ray lives in Haw River.
Jennifer Sanders is an attorney at LabCorp. She is a member of the board of trustees at Front Street United Methodist Church, involved in the leadership at the Alamance Country Club and a member of the Alamance County Bar. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned her law degree at N.C. Central University. She grew up in Burlington and lives there now with her family.
Brian Spangler is a financial advisor at Edward Jones. In addition to the hospital foundation, he is also president of the Alamance Business Club and a member of the Elon Society executive board. A graduate of Elon University, he now lives in Graham with his family.
Sam Turner is an agency manager for the N.C. Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Cos. He is also a member of the Alamance County Area Chamber of Commerce and president of the Burlington Association of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He is a graduate of Barton College and lives in Burlington with his family.
