Tours of the BirthPlace at Alamance Regional are offered on the third Sunday of every month.

Description

Once you see The BirthPlace at Alamance Regional, you'll know there's no other place you'd want to have your baby.  Free tours are held on the third Sunday of each month at 3 p.m. on the third floor of the patient towers. The tour will take approximately 30 minutes.

Please note that tours of the BirthPlace are regularly held during the 3rd class of the Childbirth Preparation class series.  Tours are also included in the Preparing Big Brother and Sister class and the Weekend Childbirth Blitz.  An online virtual tour can be seen at http://www.armc.com/armc-tour.

Directions to the Alamance Regional BirthPlace:

Ø  Turn into the Alamance Regional campus from
Huffman Mill Road and take the first road on your right.

Ø  Take the third entrance on your left which is
the Visitor’s entrance (you will pass an entrance to Kernodle Clinic and the entrance to the Emergency Room before you get there).

Ø  After parking in the Visitor’s parking lot you
will enter the building and go straight. Please inform our Patient Relations Representative at the visitor’s desk that you are here for The BirthPlace Tour. Continue down the hallway until you see elevators on your left.

Ø  Take the elevator to the third floor.  When you come out of the elevator, please wait for your tour guide in the waiting area by the elevators.


Inclement Weather:

  •  If Alamance County Schools are closed, class for that night is cancelled.

For those who have previously attended Childbirth Preparation classes. This class is incorporated into the 3rd and 4th classes in the Monday night Childbirth Preparation series.

This two-night course taught by Certified Lactation Consultants is for parents interested in learning about preparation for feeding babies and breastfeeding.

Newborn Essentials

In this course bathing, diapering,swaddling and more will be practiced with doll models. Also teaches basic infant safety and infant CPR.

Boot Camp for New Dads

Topics include safety issues, relationship with mom, feeding and changing a baby, pets in the house, crying and finances.
