Preston Hammock serves as President of Alamance Regional Medical Center, overseeing day-to-day operations of the organization, and an Executive Vice President at Cone Health. He joined Alamance Regional in 2006, serving in various administrative roles and was promoted to President in March 2013. Hammock previously served as Vice President and Senior Vice President.
Hammock holds a bachelor of science degree in biology from Duke University and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from UNC-Chapel Hill, where he was a Benjamin Rodin Scholar. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, which honored him as the 2013 recipient of the Regent Award for early career executives in North Carolina. Hammock has also been recognized by The Triad Business Journal among the 40 Leaders Under 40 in 2009 and by Business Leader magazine’s Movers and Shakers distinction in 2011.
He is also active in community agencies and health-related organizations. He is past-president of the Alamance County Meals on Wheels Board, a current board member with Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, a member of the United Way of Alamance County Leadership Council and a volunteer with the Duke University Alumni Admissions Advisory Committee. Hammock also serves on the Medical Advisory Board for Siemens Healthcare’s SYNGO US Division.
